Microwave Innovations is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer with experience in Defense Telemetry and Aerospace RF Transmitter and Receiver Systems and Components.

Microwave Innovations is an industry leader in flight vehicle transmitters and receivers used to transmit telemetry and command/control between various Aviation, Munitions, Space Launch vehicles/Satellites and the ground monitoring systems used in R&D and flight launch. These products offer our customers high reliability under some of the most extreme operating environments, with high efficiency, in small form factors.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • AS9100 Quality Management Systems
  • Knowledge of Industry standards such as J-STD-001, IPC-A-610
  • In-Process Daily Production Inspection and Processing
  • Quality Metrics Reporting
  • Failure Analysis (root cause, FMECA)
  • Source Inspections
  • Corrective Action Generation and Closure
  • Non-Conforming Material & Technical Anomaly Reporting and Resolution
  • Determining Quality Improvement factors
  • Process improvement

In addition, candidates should possess an understanding of electronic assembly, sub-assembly and test, final assembly and test, inspection of drawings and supporting process documents, and reviewing test data records and final acceptance data packages and reports.

Candidate Requirements:

  • BSEE (MSEE preferred)
  • At least 5-10 years of relevant experience in Aerospace/Defense Industries
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Well organized and detail-oriented team player but able to operate independently
  • Independent problem solver
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Minimal travel
  • Minimal oversight
  • Must be comfortable working directly with the management team
  • Ability to prepare test and progress reports in an organized and reliable manner
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe PDF
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access desirable
